Welcome to Gallimaufry (gal-uh-maw-free)!  

This name, from Old English, was chosen because it means "a collection" or hodge podge.We came here from Memphis TN in 2007 where for 12 years we managed a large Antique Center in the area. Prior to that, we were overseas for more than 30 years though not in the trade.  We were "treasure hunters" and during those years were able to furnish our home with a veritable "gallimaufry".  Throughout our travels we developed a great appreciation for history, art, and articles from the past.  We enjoy sharing these "histories" and uses with our customers...everything from Victorian "dining" and brides' baskets to English/Continental porcelains, books and games, "Southern" style and rustic, to Asian decorative, etc., etc. 

Sometimes, vintage items (unknown to younger customers) take the stage...remember the corked "sprinkler" that fits on a Coke bottle for "sprinkling" the clothes before ironing?  Dee can help you with caring for your antique linens.  Dee also likes to "teach old dogs new tricks".  For example, without making changes to any of these items, can you think of new uses for Grandma's salt dips? napkin rings? a vintage cutlery tray? glass flower frogs? banana boats? cake pedestals? Dee can share some wonderful "re-thingues"!
